Mike and Molly were adopted by the Holt family in October 2001.
This 10-year-old brother/sister pair were given up by their owners due to extensive business traveling. Since August the dogs had been getting out of the yard and had been in the shelter twice in just a few months. There was no one at home except the housekeeper who left each afternoon, leaving the dogs home alone and very lonely.
The dogs were covered in fleas and ticks and badly matted. After a trip to the vet they were each given a bath and antibiotics for possible infection from ticks/fleas. Mike was quite thin as well. They are a very sweet and well-mannered pair and they love to be scratched and will lie quietly to be brushed.
We want to thank all the rescue workers and the foster home who helped Mike and Molly to get back into shape and healthy enough to be adopted by the Holt family. Thank you to each of you!! And thank you to the Holt family for finding it in their hearts to adopt this sweet pair.
